A facelift can provide a more youthful glow by erasing neck and facial age indicators. Sagging tissues and creases around the midface, jawline, and neck can be caused by aging, gravity, stress, environmental influences, and hereditary factors. The rhytidectomy procedure, commonly known as a ”facelift”, can tighten drooping facial and neck tissues, shape extra fat, and repair sagging skin and muscles to give the face and neck a finer, more defined, and younger appearance. With his extensive training and experience, our surgeon is able to deliver some of the best facelift results in Turkey.
By eliminating extra fat, tightening saggy skin, and adjusting muscle bands, a facelift can minimize a turkey neck and a double chin. By rearranging muscle and skin in the lower face and jawline, a facelift can also eliminate jowls. Our facelift can remove deep creases between the nose and lips or beneath the lower eyelids caused by sagging cheeks. Depending on the patient’s goals, many facelifts are available. The most typical treatment involves making an incision along the hairline, close to the temples. The incision begins in front of the patient’s ear, continues down in front of and around the earlobe, and then returns to the lower hairline behind the ears.
Also it is possible to remove or repositioning of facial fat and extra skin. The underlying connective tissue and muscle are tightened and adjusted. A micro facelift, which requires fewer incisions, may be performed if there is just minor skin sagging.
The extra skin and fat will be removed if a neck lift is also performed. The skin on the neck will be tugged up and back, tightened, and compressed. A small incision under the chin is frequently utilized for this purpose. The incisions are created so that they mix perfectly with your facial features and hairline.
Benefits include:
Restoring self-confidence;
Improving self-image;
Improving the definition and strength of the jawline and lower face;
Redefining the cheeks and cheekbones;
Giving an oval or heart-shaped face a more youthful appearance.

Should I get a facelift?
Looking in the mirror and noticing thin skin, deep wrinkles, drooping skin, and an aged, worn-out appearance can be distressing. The most efficient surgical technique to achieve a youthful, refreshed, completely rejuvenated appearance is a facelift. Even though injectables and other non-invasive treatments can help delay the onset of wrinkles and other indications of aging, a surgical operation will eventually be required to achieve real facial rejuvenation.
What are the advantages of a facelift?
A facelift is a delicate treatment that requires the expertise of a professional facelift surgeon. Among the advantages of the procedure are:
- Creating a natural-looking, more youthful facial shape by removing loose, sagging skin and tissue
- Eliminating wrinkles, creases, and pronounced lines
- Restoring a defined, youthful jawline.
- Restoring drooping face muscles and tissue to a refreshed, natural, youthful position
Am I a candidate?
The best candidates for this operation are often those who are in good overall health and are prepared to take considerable steps to reduce the obvious signs of facial aging. Consultation with our doctor is your first step toward complete facial rejuvenation if your face has lost its young firmness, has started to sag and droop as a result of skin laxity, and if you notice jowls or etched-in facial wrinkles and lines.
How does a facelift recovery look?
Patients recover at different rates, although mild to severe edema and bruising are typical and last for up to two weeks. For the duration of your initial recovery, you will be given a prescription for painkillers. The swelling quickly goes down, and in just a few weeks you’ll be able to resume your regular activities while seeming naturally years younger.
Can a facelift be combined with other procedures?
Yes! In order to get full anti-aging outcomes, a facelift may be paired with other procedures such as a neck lift, brow lift, eyelid lift, laser skin resurfacing, injectable dermal fillers to replace lost volume at the cheekbones or temples, or other skin resurfacing methods.
Do I need a neck lift with a facelift?
Typically, a facelift and neck lift are done at the same time. Combining a facelift and a neck lift can aid with skin recovery and scarring since the sutures used during a neck lift can be placed around the ears. Nevertheless, a facelift is not necessary for a neck lift.
How visible are scars after a facelift?
After healing, the scars from a professionally performed facelift treatment are almost impossible to perceive. To prevent anyone from noticing them, the doctor would conceal them in folds and other natural hiding places. To ensure that they are hidden, the incisions are carefully positioned in the hairline, behind the ear, and in the ear canal. The patient will appear to be a younger, more rejuvenated version of themselves after a short period of recovery, with no noticeable scars.

Pre-Op Instructions
- Two weeks before to surgery, refrain from using aspirin or aspirin-related products, vitamin E, herbal supplements, or other drugs containing these substances. If you must take drugs because of a severe ache, please consult your doctor first.
- For 2 weeks prior to surgery and 4 weeks following it, refrain from getting your hair colored, permed, or otherwise treated.
- Quit smoking two weeks prior to surgery and two weeks afterward. Smoking cigarettes and using nicotine can cause scarring and slow recovery. This is the ideal time to break the habit.
- Two weeks before surgery, avoid sun exposure. While we recommend SPF 30 or greater, our doctors and staff always wear SPF 50.
Post-Op Instructions
- Your face will be bruised and swollen. You will observe the results as they start to diminish. It is critical to keep your head up during the first 2-3 days as this will significantly decrease your recovery time.
- We will cover your entire head with bandages after surgery to apply consistent pressure to your face, neck, and head. After a day, the bandages are often taken off.
- You may feel numbness and pressure around your face and neck. After surgery, this will lessen during the following two months.
- Apply an ice compress with light pressure for minor bleeding and swelling around the incision areas.
- On the day after surgery, wash the skin incisions three times a day with soap and water. It should be treated very gently, then dried with a towel (do not wipe). After drying, use a Q-tip and a 50% solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide to clean the incisions. Warm tap water should be added in equal parts to hydrogen peroxide. It’s important to prevent incisions from drying out or crusting over.
- On the day of surgery, you will receive your medications for aftercare (usually an antibiotic and a pain reliever).
- You should not eat or drink anything after midnight before the night of your surgery, even water.
- Showering the day after surgery is fine. Wash and dry your face gently with baby shampoo. Avoid using a comb that could pull your sutures.
- Normally, incisions are red for several months before gradually going away. After surgery, they shouldn’t be in the sun directly for six months. Every incision must be covered with sunscreen.
- Even if you feel entirely better and believe you no longer require antibiotics, be sure to finish them.
- You can begin using a light massage with vitamin E or cocoa butter six weeks after surgery.
- For the first few weeks, refrain from drinking alcohol or smoking.
- Try to relax during the first week. No vigorous exercise for at least six weeks. For the first two weeks, keep your compression garment on constantly. We advise you to wear the garment while at home for an extra two weeks after the second week.
